I watched the first two vids. Does he actually start the thing?

yes he even has a video of how he made the system, it's 2 sets of 4 carbs and he took one carb off each set, and put them on opened 6 log that had plates to help mate if flat. very awesome and very cool. that right there is a winner in my book.

I liked his throttle linkage bell-crank bar to the carbies. THAT was cool. And the fuel rail. But I think that was off the shelf, right?

I'm very fine, but very busy. I'm out of carbs right this moment, I'm into body control computing , EDIS and EEC 5 EFI and overdrive auto gearboxes, especially after finding a whole bunch of them in every Falcon and Explorer since 1998.

But those carbs still have me thinking of Jacks first Locost cross flow 3.3 liter JCX conversion...
