All Small Six 7.25 pinion seal help

I have a 200ci that is paired to a C4 with a 7.25 3:20:1 diff. My rear pinion seal was leaking and so I replaced it and tightened it down as much as I could before the wheels started spinning. Still leaking. What is the torque spec for the pinion seal?

I am restoring a 66 Mustang with a 7.25 rear. The pinion seal is leaking. Is is a simple fix? I don't want to foul up the gears.

Sorry but doing one of these quick type fixes replacing the seal without going through the proper procedures as you do when setting up the gears in a full rebuild. Without using a new pinon crush sleeve before setting the Pinon Bearing Preload to spec just by tightening up the Pinon Nut as tight as you can get it the chances are slim to none that its going to work. Did you inspect the Pinon Yoke for signs of a grove being worn into the seal surface when it was apart?
