He didn't give me the motor mount bolts so i need some and my one's from my 61 170 block aren't fitting, by any chance would anybody know what size and if they are fine or coarse thread ( forgot ) if you could let me know that would be great also need two thermostat housing screws  he lost those  thanks in advance for any input.

Go into your coffee cans full of bolts left over from all your projects and search till you find what fits. Take it to the parts store and match it up and viola. What ?? you don't have cans of old bolts--don't worry, you will sooner or later.

Hey well i got me some Grade "A" 3/8 16-( coarse thread ) Well i put it in and it is too small?!?! It just slides and and out i can't even catch any metal threads  Well if you have any input that would be great. Thanks. :D

Try the next biggest size (7/16). If that doesn't work, try the next. Sometimes you gotta experiment. 3/8 sounds real small for motor mount bolts anyhow.

oh ok thanks!!! I'll check out some bigger sizes and let you know. The 3/8's fit perfectly in my 170 block in the garage but its not even close to the size of the one's on the 200  I'll let you know after i get to auto zone

I can't confirm, but I think there may actually be some E3 "metric" castings out there. If that's the case, there may be some 10mm bolts in the block.

Long story short... it was late ( well i was tired ) and i realized it wasn't lined up and the sliding i felt was it rubbing the edge of the whole of the motor mount  oops... Well i got it all sorted oput and got it running. Thanks for all the help everybody and all my body work and floors should be done in March so it'll be hitting the streets after i can get my license ( i'm 16 ) Thanks again for the help.
