90 octane got rid of my knock

At 7-8 psi boost the knock went away with some 90 octane. So, now to run the 87 again for price purposes, does anyone know of a good DIY water injection kit out there?...I researched a few, but wondering if anyone has an personal experience with one. Preferably not too expensive. Basically I need the pump, solenoid, and nozzle. Everything else is handy. Anything to run only water, as well as mix if preferred?

THere wasa few threads on this site that went into detail about making a water injection kit.
Do the search I'm sure you will find it. its probibily 20 pages long.

8) why not try a boost retard system first? take a duraspark dist with a dual stage vacuum advance system where the second stage is used to retard the spark to control emissions. what you do is connect the vacuum hose to the manifold as normal, and leave the second vacuum port on the vacuum advance can open. then when you get boost, you automatically get ignition retard at the same time.

I'm running EDIS, so I can retard it as much as I want, when I want, where I want. Problem is, it's already retarded down to about 12 degrees, well under half of my total ignition advance. When I try and retard it more, I can definitely feel the power loss. I have to either make it run cooler, or run with more octane, or with less boost.
