a new xf owner.

i have just brought my first xf 4.1 efi gl falcon, it has ps, ac and lpg and i was wondering where should i be looking for trouble, also where is the vn number on the car, i have found the engine number but i'm buggered if i can find this and also the fuse box, i cant seem to find this either.

Austin,
Congratulations, the XF was one of the better looking fords produced.
The VIN number is stamped on the left shock tower near the upper shock absorber mount.
The fuse box is located behind the large plastic trim held on by four twist clips below the steering coloum.
Be on the lookout for engine rear main oil leaks, power steering oil leaks, mainly steering box, front yre wear and doors cracking at upper door hinges. Body rust is also something to keep an eye on.
