What's typically an acceptable high rpm for a 200? I've got an early Bronco with a 200 and 4.11's that I run 35" tires on. Well, needless to say, I've lost all the bottom end. I'm going to re-gear it and can't decide how low I can go and still be able to jump on the highway if needed. I've found a ratio calculator that says 5.13's will put me back in the range it came when it was stock, 4.11's with 28" tire. Should I go with the 5.13's or should I overrgear it a tad with 4.88's to build in some overdrive and drop the rpm's a little? Feel free to metion anything I may be overlooking in the equation.

Jerry,

If you go with the 5.13's it will put you at 65mph @ 3200rpm, with 35" tires.

4.88's will put you at 65mph @ 3050rpm, with 35" tires. You would only be dropping the rpms 150.

I'd say go with the 5.13's, because it will put you back to standards. Anyways, I hardly ever drive my bronco over 60mph, usually keep it at 2400rpm and @ 55mph.
