HI I INSTALLED MY NEW ADJUSTABLE ROCKER ASSEMBLY ON MY 200. I USED SOME OLD 144 PUSHRODS TO GET IT STARTED BUT HAVE NEW PUSHRODS ON ORDER.
I NOTICED THE FRONT ROCKER SHAFT STAND IS DIFFERENT AND APPEARS SET UP FOR SOME SORT OF CAP. IT HAS AN OBLONG SLOT AT THE TOP. CAN ANY ONE EXPLAIN THE PURPOSE? I COULD REPLACE THIS STAND WITH ONE OF THE STANDS OFF MY NON-ADJUSTABLE SETUP......IF I DONT NEED THIS FEATURE. OR WHAT PARTS PIECES AM I MISSING?

THANKS FRANKIE

I am assuming you are talking about the roller tipped rocker assemblies? Some of the earlier assemblies produced, had the front pedestal that requires a bleeder cap. But the later ones do not use these anymore. Either way is fine, as it makes little difference, just as long as the cap is installed.

You can swap the pedestals, or check out your local salvage yard. Look for a 250ci which had the stock adjustables (Maverick) and pull the cap from it.

Here's a pic of the rocker assembly on my 67. It clearly shows the cap.
