adjusting an autolite 1100 to perform its best

hey guys im new ive been a member of mustangsandmore for a little while now and they always dont have the I6 questions i need answered. so is there a possible way to adjust the hell out of an autolite carb for maximum performance? like jet sizes what needle does what any info you have will help thanks. Brian

Truth be told, the 1100 just isn't that type of carb. For minimal investment, you should jump up to another type. The 1100 is a fantastic, dependable and fuel efficient carb, but for performance upgrades; it isn't going to do much more than it does now.
There are some skilled mechanics on this forum. I'm sure they can get much more specific than I, but the overall sentiment will probably echo my thoughts.

well im just trying to get it running as good as possible . when i bought my car it came with two carbs so i was gonna rebuild the one and put it on. to lean the carb out a little bit. turn the screw on the passenger side out a little bit right?
