One of the latest Proformace Ford Mags had a articile on a brake upgrade sold buy one of the bigger ozzy firms. USing a DBA Slotted rotor (330mm) adn the new PBR Sport twin piston calipar they updated the front brakes on a XY GT-HO replica they have been rebuilding in series in the mag.

Has anyone purchased and installed or has seen this upgrade in the flesh?
If so whats it like?
I was thinking of doing a simular idea, but instead of purchasing it I was going to Build it.
My idea is to use a custom make hub (simular to a trailer one) with slightly longer wheel studs, and place a floating disc over it (Same idea as EA Falcon onwards). Then making a adapter to fit a 4 pot (spot) Calipar of either a Nissan Skyline/Mitsi GTO/Mazda RX-7 and running that as my Front Brakes. I already have the rear of my XF Ute converted to EL S/Wagon rear brakes with DBA Cross drilled and slotted rotors which work well, but I'm going to replace the discs to slotted only as I've cracked them from the outside of the disc to the outer most cross drilling holes (most likely from pulling line lock burn outs at the drag strip)

Anyone else got any ideas or suggestions?

No ideas or suggestions, but I'm keen to see how you fare.

When magazines are still messing around with 351 XY's, you tend to feel a little jaded, no?

i know hoppers stoppers do a brake upgrade in 2 different sizes, the 300mm rotors with twin piston calipers and the 330mm rotors with the twin psiton calipers. try their website www.hoppers.com.au
