Ahh, that freshly painted engine smell

Has anyone else noticed a strong smell emitting from the paint on their engine after starting it up? If so, how long did it last?

mine lasted a couple of days because I woudl simply startmy car and move it around and I was burning the paint off the exhaust manifold, I thinks thats what you mean, if so yours might not last as long.

well mine is giving me the same smell that I smelled before when I was burning antifreeze. Although when that was happening I had white smoke coming out of the tailpipe, but now I don't have the smoke. I'm just praying that its the engine paint smelling like that.
