well guys im a few days out from having a remote turbocharged 1994 f150....what i need to know is......is the brake booster hose a good source for controlling all the things that need vacuum, such as wastegate, blow off valve, boost gauge, FMU...ect....if not what is the best line to tap?

i have to say, out of all the car fourms i have used, the ford ones always suck for getting answers.

Well, You obviously don't even understand the fundamentals of how your system works, so I think you are in trouble already.

Bye.

Actually, were I in his shoes, I'd be posting politely at Turbo Mustangs (making sure to follow their "form").

There's just not enough running turbo installs here (yet!) to be confident of timely responses. Hopefully it'll happen.

You really need to spend some time looking around first. Your questions indicate that you aren't up to speed on what is required to install a turbo.

You need to be more patient to.

i guess i hurt some feelings...lol....anyways...i have done a few turbo installs.... i always tee'd off the vac lines just under the butterfly on the TB.... but i got a cool vac block from ebay and i wanted a nice looking place to put it...and since the input barbs on the block are 1/2" i thought maybe i could use it on the booster......but im almost sure ill get a crappy reading so im going to tee of TB. since im new to the ford thing i thought id see what you guys thought......but i guess not much.

oh, and.....the car should be done by friday, rear mount turbo f150. if you guys want to see pics lemme know.

Yeah, being a butt is no way to get help. I don't know how it works in Bizarro-world, but in mine it don't fly.

Wow, he waited almost 24 whole hours before acting the fool. There are 9500 some-odd users, with maybe 3000 "old-timers" (been here more than a year), 50 of which post regularly, with four that have a turbo setup on their ride. Hey, sometimes there are more important things to do than posting on a forum.

That being said, I'll be gracious and TRY to help. The vacuum source going to the booster is the biggest on the vehicle, and taps into the common source, so it should be sufficient.

well guys im sorry, i was in a rush to get the truck done.... plus i really didnt think anyone was going to see what i posted.... but anyways, thanks for the info.

Just make sure you have a check valve to the booster so it will keep vacuum while under boost, same goes if you have an auto tranny. Need a check valve at the modulator. You can tap off the booster line, manifold vacuum is manifold vacuum. Good luck.
