I'm in need of a 223 block (would love a whole motor) for my 56 f100. Guy left the original one sitting and much to my surprise when i started the rebuild a cylinder was busted from freezing. So if anyone has one I'm interested.

I also have some parts Id like to trade/sale.

223 original oil bath filter
223 original carb (needs rebuild)
223 original intake manifold
223 original exhaust manifold

56 f100 dana 44 original axle
56 f100 3 speed manual tranny
Ford 9" 57 Fairlane diff/axle assembly 3.10 gears
302 engine

Make an offer if interested.

I am quite close to WV, in fact I work in huntington.
What years did ford make the 223s?? and what year range of trucks and cars can I keep a look out for to find one.??

The 223 was produced from 1954-1964 and was an option in most vehicles from that time (mines from an F100 and they were plentiful in fairlanes as well). The engine was also known previously as a 215 from 1952-1954 (I think its the same block as the 223)...

Thanks
