I was in Tilleys Auto parts store the other day and the storeman told me that the number of 2Vs made were only in the hundreds. Must not be many left if this is the case. Does anyone know how many exactly?

Oh also he looked through his records and told me that the 2V came with a V8 heavy duty clutch. (part no 111). he had one on the shelf,
half price for 130$ australian. Definitley looks beafier that the other new one I bought for mine recently.

I have no direct knowledge of the number of Aussie 2v heads made, but having said than I was told buy an Aussie that only about 3,000 of the 250 2V were sold each year of production and they were produced from 1970-1976 so from this information it looks like as many as 21,000 were made and sold. So almost 30 years after production has stoped, I'd say 10% might remain or 2,100 of the 2v heads, and this may be a high estimate! Maybe one of our members from down under has better info on this subject and they will responed too.

My son and I each have one, and we both love the improved performance on our 200's, and it looks cool too. 8)
