Anything good on a 78 fairmont?

That will have the head with the larger carb opening.
I would put bits and pieces off that car up on ebay. Mouldings, mirrors , interior, etc.
If the exhaust manifold doesn't have a cat on it it might be OK. The DS2 stuff. The 1946 carb and EGR spacer. Pulleys, balancer, brackets.
Umm, shall I continue?
How is the rear bumper :?: :)

TJ,

Does it have AC?? If not, I could use the alternator bracket(s).

Where is the car or where would yhe parts be accessible??? I am east or Port Perry... but can go basically anywhere.

Thanks

Rod

Its in a u pull yard. Its cold here now which makes it a PITA to pull stuff. I found another car with a 200 today when I went back for other stuff, dont remember what it was but it looked newer and it was not a car that I had ever seen a 6 in before. The 78 has the smaller intake head (couldnt see the numbers) but the car I noticed today has the larger one and it had the exhaust with the cat on it. I have never seen anything like that before complete with the tube that coils around for no reason? Perhaps to keep the heat away from the smog pump? There was so much crap in the way of trying to get the head off I decided not to try. Only good thing is it looks like they tried to torch off the cat so at least that was loose. Today was 1/2 price day so I could have took the whole motor for $75 if I was able to get it out in the cold. If it warms up a bit I may go back and have a go at it.

They both had AC and I didnt look at the bumpers, both cars looked pretty beat. One was painted up like a demo car.

That coily thing is the return pipe for the egr.
That head will have hardened valve seats too. I pulled one for $35, but I got everything that was attached to it as well, which included a good exhaust manifold, carb etc...
This is it now:

pocket-ported 3-angle, oversize SI valves, port divider, dual valve springs, skimmed .50.
