Is it just me, or do others agree that most (stupid) bogans drive commodes.. particularly VK/VL. There are some in my street + nearly every time I hear someone doing a one wheel `chirpy` it is a commodore.. They give everybody who modifies older cars a bad reputation. I wonder if Holden will come out with a VD model... those would be (clapped) out from the factory [ha ha].. I had better go... the bogans are closing on me now..... not the flanno shirt! no! NO! NOOOO!

Have you noticed.... a stock VL exhaust sounds like a clogged electrolux.... AND a modified VL exhaust needs a loud stereo to hide the bloody awful drone from the occupants of the car + everyone else in the vicinity.... Come the revolution all those sort of cars will go to simsmetal... HANG ON! maybe not.... the value of Hyundai Excels would go up as the 1 digit IQ brigade look for something else to inflict on the general public................ REMEMBER, Holden is an acronym for HOLES, OIL LEAKS DENTS (and) ENGINE NOISES.
Over this side of the ditch, our Commodores came out with 2.0 litre sixes. They were really cool. Guttless, and easy bait if full with some drunk patrons. Even a 3.3 auto filled with 5 poeple would drag off a loaded VL 2.0.
All Holden drivers tell you how much an advance the VL was over an XF. Yep, half the capacity of a Fairmont Ghia, EFI, Jatco 4-speed auto, and the three guys in the back have to be good mates...there's four inches less shoulder room.
But the brakes were too small, the radiator baffle breaks, and they are no VL SS.
I don't mind a wild 304 VL, or Brockmoblie, but some of the Pi$$an engined ones look like the chunks from a Bad Pizzia verses Stomach upset. Blaaahhhh.
An XF GL with its a$$ sagging lookes almost as bad, but a least its B-I-G.

Had an bloke come to my house just the other day, took him to look at
my 250 2V Cortina. He is a Holden man and has modified many of them.
Its rather noisy with the large exhaust. I started the engine he said "its quiet" "I said what do you mean its quiet I think its noisy"

The best thing I ever did was to accept a VX SS as a company car. This gives me the authority to shit bag with confidence.
Plus point for VX SS..
Very good fuel economy for a big engine!! (True!)
Goes good when cained. (14.1ET at calder - totally stock - full tank)
Looks ok!
Bad points for VX SS..
Gear box has been removed twice - 1 Slave cylinder colapsed. 2 pressure plate collapsed.
Engine burns more oil than fuel - New engine going in next week!!
Diff is hammered - LSD single spinner! - Clonks all day!
Steering rack replaced - I don't know why? they just did it.
Rear window trims fall off - allways
Chews rear tires on the inside - chews front tyres on the outside - And does it quick!!
Indicators stopped working last week??
Brakes shhhaaake the car..
And the list goes on...
So, What is wrong with all commo drivers? --The car??

I like to have my say on this because i live in Adelaide the home and continual birth place of these fine pieces of shit.
I like to refer to them as COMMONWHORES and yes kids like the 3.8 ltr V6 power? they go and are cheap.
And fellas commodores are exceptionally good at making even the most average fords look quick and drive better than they actually do.
None of them have fully adjustable front ends and they still stick with the 2 piece tailshafts, plus the V6 auto trans combo is pathetic.
But what takes the cake is my old go hard cortinas without locking/working doors don't even get frowned apon when parked next to a commodore, everyone I know who's had one has had it stolen.
