i rebuilt my carb today on a 170,it does not seem to want to run right,now i see posts in here of guys plugging up the SCV,are these valves a problem? or are these carbs just a problem in general? am i better off adapting one of the 'carters' that i'm reading about in here? i know nothing about these carbs, i usually run V-8s with an Autolite 4V or if i have no choice a Holley 600. or am i better off just waiting for one of those FSSP aluminum heads,so i can have more choices of carbs?
