I just found an Autolite 2100 with "1.01" in the venturi circle. (2 brl) Is it worth rebuilding for my 250? I intend to put an Aussie 2v head and 1.6:1 rocker arms on with a stock cam for right now--- my engine only has about 25000 mi since the factory rebuild in '85. I still have the C4. :?:

Howdy Maverick:

A 1.01" Autolite 2100 is rated at 245 cfm, which will be a little low for all out, top end performance with a 250. I believe the 1.01s were used on '64 260 V8s. I'm running a 1.08 on my highly modified log head and feel that there's something left on the top end. A 1.08 is rated at 287 cfm. I'm looking for a 1.14 from an early 289 application for a little more flow and a richer idle circuit.

If you decide to go with the 1.01" be sure to report how it works.

Adios, David
