Badges for the 6-cyl's...proud of the 6? Then say so!

i for one, am proud of my hot new 6 and while it SOUNDS like an 8 and most people expect to see an 8 when I pop the hood, I want to add a nice 6-cylinder touch on the exterior.

I fell in love with thefender badges from a 1955 Ford a long time ago when I started looking for something:

I bought an NOS pair last month on eBay after passing on a few crappy ones.

I also really like the OZ Pursuit badges (170 Pursuit and Super Pursuit):

I wish the Super Pursuit said 200 on it...I'd have gone that route.

Anyone else marking up their rides with badges, decals, etc. instead of just being the "sleeper" 6?
 
i am actually taking OFF my badges....I want it to be a true sleeper

I do however want some funky badges...like that Sport 6 I saw on ebay last week

I loove the I6 Badge...but the super persuit are way cool also

I am thinking of puttng the badges in teh Cardinal Special position...on the rear pillar...I like it there...more visible
 
I6 badges 100% !! If I go ahead w/my I6 side project (wich is looking like a GO), I def want some badges so they'll know its 'only' a 6 cyl :twisted:

I'll pass. Maybe not on the Ford logo, though. (although the flames are kinda tacky)
 
Seems like sombody could design a cool I6 specific badge and have some made, no?
 
One of the regulars here (66Sprint6) did make his own. He used the 260 emblems from the sprint. Hacked a spare one up for just the "0". Cut off the "6" and replaced it with the "0" from the spare. Viola. A NICE 200 emblem that you can then back with the High Performance badge piece.

here is the 260 to use (2 per side so you can hack the 0 off one):

I WANT them...but I don't think he is doing them.

He used to have the image of his emblem as his avatar but changed it.
 
that would be soo cool to have. i would proudly sport my 200 badge ... ahh, guess what. yesterday in guitar class ... some dude i don't know asked what i had under my hood. I said i have a 200ci straight six. he laughed and was like "hah ... put a damn 350 in it" i got pissed and said "350 is over rated" heh, but 350's are damn fast (my friend ashlee has a 350 in her 72' vette)

probably cheaper to design your own
 
I had to change my avitar cause it dies on me and i couldnt revive it, lol. I still have that emblem, it will prolly end up in my grill. Like I said, things came up and I couldnt keep making them, but if money starts to come around I might try to make a few.

I KNEW Matt would show up when he saw "badged" in the title! :lol:

Matt, post a photo your emblem.

Then figure out what you have invested in them (time and money) and what you would want per pair. Then contact Mike "AZCoupe" and get hiim to add them to his online store and cut a fair deal with him! I think you can sell LOTS of them!

If you don't want to do that, just make me mine and send 'em! :wink:
 
Great minds do think alike. Ive got 2 nearly complete and two that needs 0's, but one if em I slightly nicked the 0 on it, so I will have tothrow it out dangit. I need to track down prolly 4 or 5 more and I could have a couple made up in the near future, possibly during winter break. Illlet you know what happens!

DON'T throw it out!! How bad is the nick?! Most of us would be HAPPY with a slightly nicked version. Send it to me along with one for the other side! :lol:
 
I'll be going up to SEMA next week and there should be plenty of manufacturers there that could make the badges. I just need to know what you guys want. Plastic or metal, tape on or pins?

Alright, I still have to get a 0 for the nicked one so I could send you a better one in the first place. Ive PMd AZcoupe about getting these done, it would be awesome to see my design on a few cars...including mine, lol!
