hey there, chaz thats sounds like a good idea .. to have a emblem makin' contest or something ... it sounds fun. Also, it would be a good way for us to keep from gettin' bored...

Ive already made 2 of the 289 style badges, but I still have to paint them and figure out what to do with them. I would like to put one either in my grill or on both sides of the front fender like the v8 guys do it. I have two others that need a 0 and one has a small nick in it. I can post pics when I get a chance.

The 200 arrow badge ON TOP of the high performance backing arrow...that's the way it should be done (IMO of course):

I am partial to these

For those of you that don't know my other hobby is mini' trucks, in paticular my '93 ranger , slammed, 302, c4, 100 shot on top of the built 302 (estimated 400 to the ground with the spray) and I have dealt with these guys here

on several occasions and they are more than capable of producing some excellant quality emblems of this nature, however don't be expecting cheap emblems.

Oh yes, that is a very nice side badge. The line starts behind me......lol.

I kinda like the running horse with the 200 on the top of it! Have them made in plastic with the double sided tape on the back. Much easier to install that way!!

Just home from SEMA. I talked to several companies about the badges. They won't touch them with out written approval from Ford because they are to much like the original Ford designs.

I went over the the Ford booth and talked with a few reps. They gave me some forms to fill out, which need to be sent in to the New Ideas office. From what I understand, it is a very long process and goes thru several different departments. They said it will be very difficult to get them approved, but worth a shot.

The other option is to redesign them. If they are considered at least 40% different than the original Ford designs, then no approval is required.

man that would be cool. why not ask somelocal guys to make a couple out of aluminum. i love that circle with the I and the 6 . they are all good ideas, and whats the chance of ford letting you actully do that kind of stuff?
