Hands up if you think a bench seat from an XC ute would be the same as a bench from an XC sedan.

Thanks folk, Tom.

Re the XC ute seat. No, its got no, um, arse in the seat.

There are no passengers in the back of an XC ute, so no ash tray or vinal cover.

:D Good news is after you put a 65 dollar bench seat cover on it, your sedan gains another 3 inches of usable knee room in the XC sedan when an XC ute seat is used. Trust me. I sit in the back of my XC all the time!

Oh, and the XC runs the Coupe roof line, so the seat height may vary a little becasue of the spacers used. It certainly did in the XF sedans and utes.

The whole bench and runner mechanism must be matched.

Some of the runners between the XA to XF Falcons have small variations to the stupid M8 tappered bolts, and you can't swap the runners over.

I tried to put the XE ute seat runners on my XC sedan seat, and now I have two broken seats because although the seat to floor bolt pattern is the same, the little half assed bolts which hold the seat frame to the cushin have different bolt spacings.

Ok thanks executer.

So if i get your gist it should work as long as i can change the runners over :S

The seat is only $10 So if it doesn't work i've got new decorations for the bedroom!

No problem, straight swap.

They are no good for home. All drunk guests fall off the bench, and the they fall backwards unless they sit against the wall.

As long as their my friends already it doesn't matter!

Not going to get the seat in the end cause the guy said that he would keep it outside until i got a chance to pick it up, and i don't like mould too much.
