I have an msd blaster 2 coil left over from another car sitting out in the garage right now and I want to hook it up to the zephyr. Will I kill my DSII module if I add the better coil to it without an msd ignition box?

I have a spare DSII from my 80' car and but I'd rather not fry something when someone knows it will not work.

Nitro, I just put an Accel Super Stock coil on my Fairmont with the stock module, works geat, definite improvement. No problems thus far. I think that Blaster II is pretty much the same kind of coil.

Went with Bosch platinum plugs, but I thought the Autolites were OK, too. Left the gap at .050. I've noticed a little better mileage and driveability.

Yeah, I don't think it will do any harm, its almost like using 2 AA batterys on a portable cd player, as soon as you put 'em in they dont jsut shoot out the eletricity, it just spit's 'em out slowly...

I might be wrong, but i dont think it will mess anything up

You'll be fine.

Remember, all the module does is send a signal to the coil to fire to the dizzy. The output of the coil never hits the module unless you wired it wrong. Only thing the coil effects is the dizzy, spark plugs, and wires (or your temp sender gauge if you wire it wrong...don't ask).

Been running a Blaster on my 81 Fairmont for a while now with no problems. Don't think anything is different between the Blaster and a stock coil except the output to the plugs. Am also using MSD spiral core wires.
