block identification

Hi All

On the side of my block it looks like it is stamped with 08DE.What date code is this?

afaik the first letter is always the decade.
C= 60's
D= 70's
E= 80's

The second number is the year in the decade

the third letter is the car type. All i know is mustangs were usually Z's

sure its an O and not a D or C?
