Im trying to figure out what i should use for the BSFC for a 300 turbo engine. I read about it all over the net and some say 0.55 and some say 0.65. I wouldnt want to just take the average of the two becasue that leaves a 0.05 margine fro error on sioemthing that should be fairly accurate.

How can you tell what BSFC you need for an engine? Whether it is .60 or .65.

The formula: (HP x BSFC) / (#injectors x duty cycle)

You can do .55 BSFC and get 192.5 at 350 HP or .65 and get 227 at 350 HP.

The injector flow rates vary from 40 lb/hr to 47.5 lb/hr

Wouldnt there be a significant difference in whether i ran 40 or 47?

Give me some input as to what is the best way to go about doing this.

generally I use .50 for naturally asperated and .60 for supercharger/turbo. 42# injectors are PLENTY for ~450hp on a 6 cylinder engine. My 3.8L V6 has 42# injectors and 325hp at the crank and they are only at about 65-70% duty cycle on a full thottle drag strip run with a VERY safe 11.5:1 A/F ratio.

Ok...now that i have something to compare with i can calculate from there..i think i will go with 42# injectors...it seems to be the ticket no matter how i calculate it out..some say add 10% of the N/A flow rate to get the turbo flow rate and it comes out to about 40#/hr.
Thanks rancherlee
