Ok, I just got off the phone with Modern Driveline, it appears that the cable clutch linkage I got from Mustang Steve wont work with my bellhousing. The housing I got for the swap is a C60A-6394-C 66 3 speed housing. We are trying to find different possibilities to make this work, but can I not just modify my Bell. Why wont it work? Helps guys, I dont wanna buy a new bell if I dont have to, lol. Lemme know soon, I need to order the adapter and stuff!

8) since a cable clutch linkage is set up to pull(hard to push with a cable), and the stock bell is set up for linkage that pushes, you would need to replace the clutch fork with one designed for a cable clutch, and that means opening up the fork opening, and setting up a pivot point for the clutch fork in the bell itself. there may or may not be room for this. i think al did this conversion once, check his website and see if he has anything on it about the conversion. an alternative is to convert to a hydraulic clutch. that way you dont change the bell you have, or the clutch fork, and there is far less work to the conversion.

For the cable, the clutch pivot point needs to be moved from the outside of the bell, to the inside, opposite side. Then, you need a cable mount on the bell. You can see this mod on my site for the C7 bell. I briefly looked at doing this to the C6 bell, but immediately saw that one of the existing tranny bolt holes in the bell may interfere with the ball pivot mount. I did not bother to spend any more time with it.

You can always look at mounting a lever on the outside of the bell and using the cable clutch in the same fashion as the 4-cyl T-5 uses it.

Or, grab a '67 bell and modify it yourself using the same method I used on my site. If you are lucky enough to find an SROD bell, you can easily modify the bell to bolt up a T-5. Or, if you can find a T-4 bell (THEY DO EXIST FOR THE 200!!), the T-5 is a direct bolt up.

I believe that Moderndriveline is actually having a cable/T-5 bell cast for the 200. I don't know where he is in the process.

BTW, the adapter you need for that bell to bolt up a T-5 can be bought from Moderndriveline, but not quite yet. I'm finishing up that drawing for that one to give him this weekend.
