i'd like to see what people have done
i've heard that people have taken the cables from F-series trucks and used them, but i'm not sure how as the one i have is much shorter than what would be needed to get it to work

my car is at home.....but I used a cable from a 300 efi bronco (just looked up cables at the parts store....they give length and end type) fabbed a simple bracket that bolts to the base of the holley carb and that was it as far as the motor side of it. pedal side I am still sorting it out.

Bought the Spectre brand at Vatozone, 24" (or cut to length), with every available option for connectors you need. Just fab your own bracketry, I did mine out of 2"x1/8" aluminum angle. Good luck.

ps. click on the sig. pic at the bottom, too it shows a better angle.

A setup from a Maverick/Comet worked fine in my '61. The Maverick foot pedal fit well with a little fitting. Here's a few pics of the engine side. The red bracket over the VC is from the Maverick:

kirkallen143 what happend to the turbo hat ?
too much pressure ?

thanks kirk and powerband, i think i might do a combination of your two setups, i have the bracket from a maverick, and i could go get the cable (if it's still there)

powerband, if you have a chance, i'd like to see what had to be done to get the pedal to fit, cause i might end up just buying the entire setup from the yard

thanks guys

I don't have any pics of the pedal setup but it was a straightforward install. I needed to shorten up the cable pull where it connected to the upper lever but no big issues with the install. The firewall was covered in fiberglas - that was the only PITA :?
