carb id

friends 63 ranchero. dont know if its a 170 or a 200 yet. Carb on machine is 1bbl, with two widely spaced floats on a common shaft. A overhaul kit for that make/yr resulted in a kit which the schematic shows has one float in the more normal 1bbl manner. Any clew as to what it is? No particular brand name of numbered type tag thereon......mutt

we picked it up from the overhaul shop & it had 4 mains....thats a 170, right? The fresh rebuildcame with a new oil pump. While the bolt & various holes on the pump match the holes in the block, the hex shaped intermediary shaft is too small in diameter, & also, I think, too short.
Were there 2 different sized intermediate shafts? Our new distributor is back ordered......I just KNOW if I hunt down an oil pump w/ a smaller hex drive, the dist will come thru w/ a larger hex. Whats up with that??? Still no clew as to what the carb is....mutt
