Carb leaking at inlet, need part

Ok, my carb has a nasty leak, right at the fuel inlet on the front of the carb (Autolite 1100 style) and the fittings are tight. The gasket from the carb body to the inlet assembly appears to be shot, and I don't have a spare one. The RTV tube says not to use it on parts in constant contact with gasoline, so that's not an option. What type of material should I use?

Also, any precautions for disconnecting the fuel line? The car hasn't been run in about 24 hours. Thanks a bunch.

Mine has a little adaptor nipple threaded into the carb and then the filter threads into that. IIRC there is a little gasket between the adaptor and the carb and then use the sealing method of your choice to the filter. The filter seemed to thread into the carb fine but didnt bottom into the gasket like the adaptor did so I put the adaptor thing back in and all is well. The gasket was just a little fiber type of washer that was in mine when I took it apart and was in the rebuild kit I got a Napa.
