Hey i have a 1964 Mercury 200 inline six. I just got two autloite 1100's. But when i poped my hood they look different. The one under my hood is more squre and dosent have the choke cap stiken out like 1100's do. What dou you htink this is? O and for 3 carbs on 200 six at sea level what should i jet the carbs too?

Thanks

Curtis

Howdy Back Curtis:

I is impossible to tell much from your description. The Autolite 1100 came in a manual trans version with one dash pot on the side of the bowl. Carbs ffor Auto trans cars had a second dash opt on the other side of the bowl. The second functions as an anti-stall device.

Another difference is that Falcons and Fairlanes to '65 has manual chokes, Comets and Meteors had automatic chokes.

All 1100 to '67 have a Spark Control Valve. '68 & '69 do not.

The other possibility is that your carb may have been swapped for a rebuild/replacement that is different than the 1100. Fo MoCo offered a Holley #1946 as a replacement when Autolites were no longer available.

On jetting Autolite 1100s for a 3 X 1 set-up, I'd start with stock jetting and see how they run. If you use a progressive linkage, and run idle and choke off the center carb, WOT jetting may be close with stock jetting.

Sorry to be so general, but there's not much to work with here.

Hey, thanks! I wanted to get a pick up here but my camera is broke. I have another question. Its about an intake manifold on the 200. Did they come in different with sizes? I want to make a 3 1bbl home made setup for my 200 but the manifold is kinda small. Its a 66 head of a falcon.

Thanks,

Curtis
