Carb Spacer

Do you have to use the spacer under the carb. the the heater hoses attach to?

You might it all depends on the throttle linkage you have or if you want to convert to a cable type linkage.

I don't use one. I think it may only be necessary for only certain climates.

I use a spacer without the heater line just because it has a vacuum line. I need two vacuums sources one off the carb for the vacuum advance and the one off the spacer is for my vacuum windshield wipers. I also do not drive my car in the winter so the warmth for the intake doesn't matter to me either.

where did you get your spacer?

I have two without the heater hose lines. The one I am using came off a 1973 Maverick 250cid. The other one I believe is off a 67 200cid can't remember for sure. What size throat do you need? The one I have is 1.375". It maybe too small. Can make you a deal if you want it.

mine is the standard 1 barrel on a 170, not sure what size throat it has.
