I have the YF diagram that Mustang Geezer has on his website , but I can't figure out how to adjust the pump. It does not have a long external rod to bend like the autolite does. When I step on the gas from a stop, the car hesitates. This YF is not running as lean as the last one I had, and the last one did not hesitate like this, so I'm assuming this is not a mixture/jetting problem. Anyone know how to adjust the pump?
As far as jetting is concerned, I bent the metering rod tap up considerably to richen the jetting, but there is still misfiring at about 1100 rpm under light load. I had this problem with the last YF as well, but not with my autolite 1100. Anything else I should look for? I'm not sure how to check the float level either since I bought a new carb, not a rebuild kit. After a month of playing around with two differant new carbs, I'm about to give up on YF's and get an 1101......
