chamber volume

this is probably a premature question but seein as how I'm usin 2.5 L HSC rods with stock pistons in my 250 ci build i was wondering what the chamber volume on the new FSPP head will be :?:
I'm tryin to get a handle on my compression ratio. If you don't want to divulge those numbers just yet I understand but please tell me if it will be too high for a street motor using TBC's and SDF's where ever possible. I mean to coat the valves(stems and faces), exhaust runners, bearings (rod and main), pistons, and crank shaft.

deck height: 0.024 in
comp gasket: 0.037 in
stroke: 3.955 in
bore: 3.680in

Thanks and Keep Sixn'

Until we get one fully machined and drop in some valves, we can't verify the volume. I should know in another week or two and will post the info then, as well as the flow numbers. I just don't want to say something and then be wrong.

Dan, until Mike comes out with combustion chamber sizes, its a crap shoot.

You are going to need 50-52 cc's for the 200 engine & 60 for the 250 crowd??

Otherwise the 250 guys are going to need some deep dished pistons.

Just a thought. William

Dan,

Try this.

Goto the web site in my signature. Click on the "Compression Calculator" in the left column. Plug in the numbers you have. With a 7cc dished piston and the 52 cc head, I got 10.8 to 1. With 13 cc dished piston, I get 10.1 to 1

Try the Calculator, you'll like it
