coil wire slide on thing

Hi all,

How do you get the wires out of the coil clip on the duraspark coil? I can't seem to get the metal clip/wire to slide out. It is pissing me off badly. I tried yanking after all gentler methods were exhausted and the wires broke off. I tried prodding and pressing in order to manipulate it out, but no luck. Do the wires even come out of the bracket? Short of destroying it, I can't get them out.

There's a tang that engages when the clip is put into the holder. you can use a very, very small screwdriver to press it down and the clip will slide back out.
