I have a 1965 Mustang 200 6 cylinder with 1100 autolite carburetor and original stock distributor. Where is the best place to connect a vacuum gauge for carburetor adjustments. I have the original steel lines that run from the carb to the distributor? Any ideas on how to connect it? I bought a Vacuum Gauge from Harbor Freight

You don't connect the gauge there. You have to access vacuum from the intake log below the carburetor. Do not hook it to the PCV hose either.

Okay...I found a picture that might capture what you are referring to...(see below)....Is that the place you are recommending?

Hi, the second picture shows a port for direct vacuum. That is a good place for your vacuum gauge. Hopefully the large black rubber adapter will fit tightly on there. Good luck
