Hoses do have an expiration date. Maybe just two

Buy three, then your radiator goes bad, get one for your 250. The you have two hoses that don’t fit!! Blame it on Murphy

I have seen stainless pipe hoses, they look nice

They may look nice but the quality is not the same as copper. I heard of one blowing apart on a dyno and someone getting burnt.
Copper is used in house hot water systems for a good reason and that is why what was Cool-Flex and what I have as Copperflex is chrome plated copper.

Inch and 3/4 and Inch and a half are common sizes on most engines unless you get into the big block V8's that have 2 inch fittings.
