Could this work

I have seen some Falcons with the Argentine head, some run 1-3 downdraft webers, i was particularly impressed by one that has a large single 45-48mm, i can’t see why this can’t be adapted to a log head, anyone have idea’s? The process should be the same, except the runner to log head would need modifying, there are a few short manifolds to consider that could be cut up for the adapter plate. With the right chokes this would work quite well.

I don't see why you couldn't use a single 44-48 Weber.
The biggest concern with a downdraft would be hood clearance.
Now a sidedraft 45 or 48DCOE would aleviate any hood clearance concerns.

i dont see why it wouldnt work. i think the 3v weber might be a better choice over a 1v weber. two cylinders per barrel is easier to tune than one barrel per six cylinders when it comes to webers.

Log head has poorer flow than any of the TC heads. but it'll work fine.

The tall and wide spaced Twin IDA's are the weapon of choice for most worked Wankel 10a, 12a and 13b. For 308 Torana's and early Group C Commodores, Group C 351 Falcons and any thing formerly 4-bbl with tight hood spaces, the 48 IDF is a better fit. Despite being used in quad form in the early GT40, the IDF's aren't a great, specficly race duty carb, but they have closer throttle body spacings and are a lot shorter in height.

The IDF's have problems with fuel pressure, emulsion tube set up, and fuel standoff, but there isn't a better carb ever made for tight spots. The IDA is a better carb, with more quality parts, but with good parts packup and set up, each will give the very best performance.

Talk to REDA9X on http://www.gmh-torana.com.au/forums/top ... df-webers/ if you want a good cold air box.

i think for now i am looking for a alternative over a 350 holley, ultimately i want triple carbs, su’s or webers depending on cost. Saw a hemi six setup today, all brand new with italian made 45mm webers, wanted 3300 dollars. I am crap at posting pics and videos but the intraweb has these videos hosted on your tube, punch in falcon 221 sp six and have a listen to these Argie Falcons screaming on webers x 3 or weber x 1, its music to your ears and none of them sound like tractor motors like mine lol.
