What did you guys do to cover the hole in the intake manifold directly below the carb and above the exhaust? Does someone make a plate for this?

Thanks,
Warren

You have to find the old EGR unit gasket, and copy a template in 1/8" mild steel.

Or get the old 1979 to 1986 F or Eseries 4.9liter EGV231 EGR unit, and put a brass nut on it like the ones our user JackFish uses on his early Fairmont Wagson exhaust.

These are used when taking emissions equipment off cara like Canadian early pre 1981 Fox exhaust systems

In natural state in the early 80's it looked like this...

I make one under part number NCE1-1V, based on my E1 head from my 1981 Mustang, exactly the same as the 1982 Granada except it has another 5 hp.

The head from a 1982 Granada runs an integrated EGR circuit like all 1981 to 1983 Fox body B and X code 3.3 liter Fords. The studs have been removed by double nutting on your cylinder head, an EGR unit specific to six cylinder Fords bolts right on in there.

A plate will cover it, torque down by two cap screws like they use for the kickdown lever boss on the 1971 on C4 transmission 200/3.3 and 250/4.1's. Use Redcoat or some kind of high temp silcone sealant.
