All Small Six CRT527R+ HEI ignition would be a good choice for my 1968 200 ci. ?

This relates to all small sixes
Probably no one here has experience with that exact product but the description looks good:

The DSII is popular around here. Likely that it would depend on details on your vehicle and any future performance mods and level of performance you desire.

I run a DUI HEI and like it. Simple one wire installation. HEI are looked down upon by a few here that are vocal of the DSII.

If you have the money for the best the DS11 with a MSD 6425 & a MSD Blaster 2 coil. MSD also makes an adapter harness so you can connect the DS11 right to the 6425. It is the MSD 8869 harness.
You also need the DS11 recurved for your build.
See my posts in the small six for sale section of this forum.
This also is needed for the HEI or DUI.

Thanks to all who answered my question. I was trying to find THE FALCON PERFORMANCE HANDBOOK, but it seems to be out of stock.

I contacted the family that owns the Performance Handbook recently and they are in the process of getting it available again. It is a great resource along with the publication Ford Inline Six: How to Rebuild and Modify from Vintage Inline. There are a few ways to go for ignition upgrades and from what I have learned recurving any distributor is beneficial.

Is this a good choice for my 1968 200 six? thanks Blurooster

I think that distributor you’re asking about has a few variants. I bought the small cap version that comes with a remote coil. It appears to be of decent quality and it can be adjusted for vacuum advance from 0 to +10 degrees; centrifugal advance is adjustable as well with springs and bushings.

I’m completely satisfied with it but I would have gone with a Duraspark II if I could have found one in my area. At the time I did not know that @wsa111 offered Duraspark services.
