Thank you, Bubba, but I am already watching this thread. Our internet is really slow so I think, with having to refresh the page and all, it got rid of the new notification symbol.

Yes you are set now that 1969 250 Six is going to have a lot more torque (LOL because it's going to be much easier to do all those Burn Out's with) as compared to the stock 1966 200 Six would be. And that's no fooling those 250's are a great upgrade in those early Mustang Coupe's.

My block is a '69 and the only Ford car in '69 that had a 250 option was the Mustang but my block has a Falcon/Maverick code. Could someone please explain this?

The Block and Head Design / Casting Codes as well as many of the other Cast Parts will only show the first year of the Design and also the first use of those Parts by the Model they were designed for. But the same parts were also used in many of the other Ford and Mercury Car Models and often in that same first year or in some cases the continuing years that the same parts were used. So you can't go by the Design / Casting Codes to know exactly what car the engine originally came from, look for the Little Metal ID Tag that's mounted to the Top of the engine usually on or with the Coil Mounting Bracket Bolt for more info and clues. Transmissions also have a metal Tag on the Servo Cover that has a Car Model Code on them too.

Yes absolutely it is a 250 Six they are the only US made Small Ford Six's that will have the exact same Bell Housing Bolt Pattern on the rear of the Short Block along with the same Low Mount Starter like those used on many of the 6 Bolt SBF V8's. IE such as the later 1965 up 289's, plus all 302's, 351 W's and 351 C's). They also only have a 4 Bolt Water Pump Mounting were all the other Small Six's (144, 170, & 200's) will only have 3 Mounting Bolts.
