Machinist (Brett) came out yesterday and dialed in new cam (two of them have now said I could have gone for more lift). Im not very concered about this as my inlet valves are standard 1.65 if they were 1.85 Id like to go more lift.
He dialed it in with the engine on its side didnt use a degree wheel used two pushrods and a magnetic device (gauge that stuck to side of block). Lucky I did have a multi key timing as i would have had to purchase one to set it up correctly with new according to Brett (moved crank timing around) one slot equals 2 deg. The balancer had to come off three times to get it "spot on".
Any tips on putting the sump and timing gear back on with silicon
as i have not done it before. I also intend to do the large paper seal (will make my own) on top of 4 bw gear box and the rubber one at the front were the leak was.
