Finally got the timing & carb all dialed in today.
We had to enlist the help of a pro to get it done.
WOW!!! What a kick in the seat of the pants difference!
I haven't dynoed it yet, but according to my built-in butt dyno it feels like it's pretty much doubled what it was on the old log-head!
If I had to make an estimate, I'd say we're somewhere in the neighborhood of about 140 rear wheel hp now!
0-60mph was around 7 secs, but that's on wet roads (it's raining today) so we had to baby it a bit and couldn't go full throttle.
We're still running stock exhaust manifold, and stock cam. In the next couple of months I plan on putting in headers and Mike's Arvinode exhaust. That should open things up a bit more.
