Rods. Harder to select than a fishin' rod. How-Hie is a chinaman?
Blue print dimensions are:-
4.1 post 70, 5.885", same as US 250, same as 3.2, 3.9, and pre AU 4.0's
3.3 post 70, 6.275",
*(unlike any US engine, but very similar in size to early 240 and 300 Big block F150 sixes..just no where near as tough).
*The AU and BA con-rods should interchange as crank pins are the same size. They are longer at 6.00" as far as I've been able to work out, same as the six cylinder based US Topaz/Tempo/ Taurus HSC 2.5 four cylinder rods. The Starfire Four rods of the Ford Six world.
* You can't use Astron 80 or Magna rods, too tall unless you find some 1.00 inch tall deck forged pistons, then grind the crank down 79 thou.
* 302C, 351 W, and 351C rods have a crank pin 185 thou to big to fit.
* Commodore V6 Rods are 124 thou too bif in diameter at the crank pin to fit, but are 5.91" for the pre-Ecotech engines.
