Double Oil Dip Stick Removal

My 78 Fairmont block has a front and a rear oil dipstick, but the pan I'll be using will use the front sump for my 63 Comet. So I won't need the rear dipstick. I can cut the rear dipstick short and just plug it in and forget about it, but it would be cleaner looking to remove the rear dipstick tube. Any ideas on how to remove it? Is it pressed in or screwed in? I was thinking I could hack it off at the block and tap the hole then put a bolt it it, but there must be another (more profesional looking) way.
Thanks for any suggestions!

79 Fairmont 200 block gettin' ready to transplant...
PS- thanks Adam and Joseph for the oil seal suggestions...

I think the tube is just pressed in. I have two D8 blocks from '80 Mustangs and they have the tubes in the rear as the oil pan is there and the front hole is plugged with a small plug.

i think i've yet to see an oil tube that's screwed in...
these are cheap motors, i'd bet that it was pressed in

They are pressed in....Just grab onto it with a pair of vice grips and tap on the vice grips with a hammer and it will come right out.

I used a piece of dowel rod to plug mine up. You could also find a small freeze plug or somthing like that.
