dropping oil pan

Is it possible to drop the oil pan while still in the car ? It's a 250 and it is very close to the center link, could I just pull the 2 bolts from the idler arm and drop it down enough to get the pan off ? I have a small leak and it appears to be the back seal on the oil pan, I thought it was the rear main, but I changed it this winter and took extra pains with it. The rear oil pan seal looks like it sticks out further than it should and I want to replace it.

I just take the centerlink-pitman arm bolt out and the arm swings out of the way. The sway bar has to be loosened too. You can leave the ends connected, just take the bolts out where it attaches to the subframe.
