DSII-vacuum advance tube?

So my original advance tube is connected to the newer distributor with a piece of rubber (fuel?) tubing. The tube's diameter is too big, I just have it tightened down with some really tight zip ties at the moment. The original distributor just had the tubing pressed into the vacuum advance, if I remember correctly. But the newer style has this similar external nipple style:

About what size tube have you folks used? Can I get it from an auto store, or do I need to try a hardware store? If I get it at an auto parts store, what sort of tubing might I ask for (vacuum advance tube??)

Just ask for vacuum hose, it comes in several sizes. Im thinking 5/32" or maybe 3/16 is the dizzy size. Fuel line usually only goes down to 1/4" for automotive applications.

At the local Murray's (Kragen/AdvancedAuto/AutoZoo) store they have fuel and vacuum tubing. For this application go for the vacuum tubing. I want to say that the tubes are sized based on their internal diameter. So measure OD of the nipple on the carb and dizzy.
