You'll pay between $40 and $60 from your local parts house. I was told by the folks here to get a '79 Fairmont dizzie.
Woa. Step back one sec. Are you running a '67 block in your '67 Stang? Guys will correct me if I'm wrong, but the DSII may NOT drop in for you. I think they aren't drop in's until you hit '68 blocks.
The DSII will drop in to a '66 block. The "Better check" year is '64. Prior to '64 the blocks have a smaller hole and drive shaft. It changed during the '64 year.
In addition, you'll need a cap adaptor if you want to run the larger, post-style cap. You'll also want to consider new wires. You'll need the control box for it as well or an aftermarket version like the MSD stuff. I don't think my DSII came with the rotor, so you'll need that as well. WHat am I forgetting? Oh, coil. maybe a better/newer coil than you have especially if you are going with an MSD or similar setup.
DS2 Dizzy: $40
Cap: $10
Cap adaptor: $7
New wires (You won't be able to use your old ones unless you change the dizzy end of the wires: $15-$40
Control Module: $15
Optional:
MSD: $150-600 (in lieu of the control module)
okay cool thanks, i think im gonna get that next month or so (wen im done saving my money) ... Ummm .. do you think i will be able to install it myself (like i hardly have n e mechanical expirience what so ever) ... ? or like will there be instructions on how to install it wen i buy all those parts?
