duraspark question needs your input

This is my question: I have a 72' Maverick 200/auto.I need to replace the distributer.Please give me your input to what application i should install.I will guess at the 78-79 fairmont duraspark with heavey duty cap/rotor with maybe a msd box ??? Can someone give me product description so i can get the correct parts.THANKS to all ! :checks: :roll:

1.) Duraspark distributor for a 78 Fairmont 200 ci
2.) Cap adapter
3.) Rotor
4.) Cap
5.) Good set of MSD or Accell wires
6.) MSD blaster 2 coil
7.) MSD Duraspark adapter harness if using MSD box
8.) MSD 6a or a stock control module (ask for 78 Fairmont 200 ci blue grommet)

do you need the MSD duraspark adapter harness? Maybe thats why I cant get my setup to work properly?

Thanks geezer ! I ordered the dist through napa for $ 47.00 and i will order msd via summit ? does anyone have a better source ?

Summit has about the best price i've found unless you want to search ebay for a used one. Even then, summit is better sometimes.

As far as having to have the adaptor, no, you can wire in right to the DS2 if you want. It isn't hard. There is a diagram in the tech section.
