Duraspark wiring wizards (with GM module) - Help please...!

The one hot when the starter is spinning is the other one... I have 2 terminals there (they aren't labelled) but one is hot when ignition is on & when engine running, the other one is to energise the solenoid to spin the starter.

The one I'm using to trigger my fan is the first one (live with ign on or engine running).

Band on the diode facing the alternator when I put it in the line?

The band points towards the direction you do want the current to flow.

Well that clarifies that but I'm not so sure which way I want it to flow to get it to work

Which way was the current flowing to make it "bad" before?

Who knows... I guess I can try both ways & test anyway, worst I can do is blow the diode & at $1.50 who cares!

Yes, that's what MSD says. You want current to flow from the alt to the light, but not the other way 'round.
