How good of a deal is an Eaton supercharger from a "3.8 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe" for $150 for a 1968 200 I6?

Thanks,

Justin

Gday dude, I picked my supercharger up for $600 aus. so $150 US if its in good condition (make sure the rotors dont have to many scratches)is a steal. The problem is how you mount it,if you can fab things yourself you will save some money but you still need to spend a bit on snout extentions, pulleys, carb, bypass valve, pipework etc for blowthrough. If you go suck through you will save money but the bearings will need changing.Dont go the supercharger rout because you think it will be cheaper than say a turbo as they probably work out about the same.
