did not think it would work but was able to install a 78 duraspark dizzy in my 65 econo pu with a 170. the block is a 64 casting but had the 5/16 size shaft. Only thing I had to do was sand down the top collar of the dizzy a wee bit and she fit just fine, and the new performance over the points is amazing its like a whole new engine. thankyou all here in the forum for all the info couldn't have done without you guys.
