I'm putting my car onto straight LPG soon (already on dual fuel) and I want to get rid of all the EFI wiring from the engine bay and just keep it simple.
I've got a Pre '86 carby XF engine bay wiring loom which I'm pretty sure will match striaght up, I have an XD and an XE electronic distributor, both which need rebuliding.....been quoted $150 - $450 for rebuild and recurve to suit LPG.
What i'm thinking is if an MSD (or similar) can be wired stright onto the XF dizzy (full elec) this would be a better option. Can the MSD be wired up to the XF full elec dizzy?
Also are there any electronic ignition control modules out there that have a boost reference? As I'm thinking of strapping a supercharger on at a later date, and if the ignition module can handle boost, there will be basically nothing else to do but strap it on and plumb it up.
Any thoughts welcomed.
